Υπερασπίζω τό Σύνταγμα καί τήν Ελευθερία μου! ΠΑΡΑΒΙΑΣΗ ΣΥΝΤΑΓΜΑΤΟΣ. Tί κάνουμε;

1. ΠΕΡΙ ΜΑΣΚΑΣ.  Σύμφωνα με τον Κώδικα Ιατρικής Δεοντολογίας. (Υπερσυνταγματικός νόμος 3418/2005 - ΦΕΚ 287 Α / 28-11-2005)...

Άρθρο 1– Έννοιες, ορισμοί και πεδίο εφαρμογής του παρόντος

1. Ιατρική πράξη είναι εκείνη που έχει ως σκοπό τη με οποιαδήποτε επιστημονική μέθοδο πρόληψη, διάγνωση, θεραπεία και αποκατάσταση της υγείας του ανθρώπου.

2. Ως ιατρικές πράξεις θεωρούνται και εκείνες οι οποίες έχουν ερευνητικό χαρακτήρα, εφόσον αποσκοπούν οπωσδήποτε στην ακριβέστερη διάγνωση, στην αποκατάσταση ή και τη βελτίωση της υγείας των ανθρώπων και στην προαγωγή της επιστήμης.

3. Στην έννοια της ιατρικής πράξης περιλαμβάνονται και η συνταγογράφηση, η εντολή για διενέργεια πάσης φύσεως παρακλινικών εξετάσεων, η έκδοση ιατρικών πιστοποιητικών και βεβαιώσεων και η γενική συμβουλευτική υποστήριξη του ασθενή.

Η χρήση μάσκας αποτελεί ιατρική πράξη

Άρθρο 12
Συναίνεση του ενημερωμένου ασθενή
1. Ο ιατρός δεν επιτρέπεται να προβεί στην εκτέλεση οποιασδήποτε ιατρικής πράξης χωρίς την προηγούμενη συναίνεση του ασθενή.

Ως εκ τούτου η υποχρέωση χρήσης της, αποτελεί παραβίαση του ανωτέρω νόμου (κώδικα ιατρικής δεοντολογίας)

2. ΠΕΡΙ ΑΔΕΙΑΣ ΚΥΚΛΟΦΟΡΙΑΣ

Σύμφωνα με το Σύνταγμα της Ελλάδος (ΦΕΚ 211 Α /24-12-2019)

Άρθρο 5 - Ελεύθερη ανάπτυξη της προσωπικότητας, προσωπική ελευθερία

4. Απαγορεύονται ατομικά διοικητικά μέτρα που περιορίζουν σε οποιονδήποτε Έλληνα την ελεύθερη κίνηση ή εγκατάσταση στη Χώρα, καθώς και την ελεύθερη έξοδο και είσοδο σ’ αυτήν. Τέτοιου περιεχομένου περιοριστικά μέτρα είναι δυνατόν να επιβληθούν μόνο ως παρεπόμενη ποινή με απόφαση ποινικού δικαστηρίου, σε εξαιρετικές περιπτώσεις ανάγκης και μόνο για την πρόληψη αξιόποινων πράξεων, όπως νόμος ορίζει.

Ως εκ τούτου ουδείς μπορεί να μου επιβάλλει περιορισμό της ελεύθερης κίνησής μου χωρίς να υπάρχει απόφαση ποινικού δικαστηρίου για το άτομό μου.

Στην περίπτωση προσπάθειας επιβολής προστίμου για μη χρήση μάσκας και μη συμπλήρωσης άδειας μετακίνησης κάνουμε τα εξής:

1. Ενημερώνουμε τον αστυνομικό (με το έγγραφο 1) για παραβίαση του νόμου και του συντάγματος.

2. Ενημερώνουμε και με το (έγγραφο 2) περί παραβίασης πολλών νόμων.

3. Σε περίπτωση που επιμένει του ζητάμε να μας οδηγήσει στο αστυνομικό τμήμα, ώστε να του υποβάλλουμε μήνυση για παραβίαση του συντάγματος.

FACT CHECK – Face Coverings are unsafe and ineffective – Here’s all the evidence…

In the middle of Summer in 2020 the UK Government thought it would be a great idea to enforce the wearing of face masks in all indoor public settings. Why did they think it was a great idea? Because all respiratory viruses such as influenza and the common cold causing viruses such as rhinovirus and coronavirus are seasonal.

So therefore the authorities no longer had the numbers to justify the reign of terror that they had subjected the British public to for the last five months. So they needed to find a way to reinforce the illusion of “a problem”. And what better way to do that than to enforce a policy that would serve as a constant illusion of there being “a problem” every time a member of the British public ventured out of their front door and found themselves surrounded by swarms of face nappy clad alarmists.

Fast forward 7 months and the deputy chief medical officer for England, Professor Jonathan Van Tam said the wearing of face masks “may persist for many years and that may be a good thing”.

But if we rewind just a few months before the heinous policy came into force you may or may not remember Professor Van Tam saying the following –

Van Tam told the British public that he had spoke with a colleague in Hong Kong who had carried out an evidence review for the World Health Organisation and stated they “were of the same mind that there is no evidence that the general wearing of face masks by the public affects the spread of a disease in our society, what matters right now is social distancing. In terms of the hard evidence, we do not recommend face masks for general wearing by the public.”

The contradictions throughout this alleged pandemic are never ending, as is the UK Governments line that they are being “guided by the science”, a line which they have used throughout the past year to justify dictatorial, authoritarian tyranny.

The problem with their claim as that when we actually look at the science it becomes pretty clear that they are lying. Because here’s what the science on mask wearing actually shows us…

This 2020 meta-analysis published on the CDC website in the USA found that evidence from randomized controlled trials of face masks did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza, either when worn by infected persons or by persons in the general community to reduce their susceptibility.

This review carried out by the Norwich School of Medicine and the School of Environmental Sciences found that masks had no effect specifically against Covid-19, although face mask use seemed linked to, in 3 of 31 studies, “very slightly reduced” odds of developing influenza-like illness.

This 2019 study of 2862 participants showed that both N95 respirators and surgical masks “resulted in no significant difference in the incidence of laboratory confirmed influenza.”

This 2016 meta-analysis published on the Canadian Medical Association site found that both randomized controlled trials and observational studies of N95 respirators and surgical masks used by healthcare workers did not show benefit against transmission of acute respiratory infections.  It was also found that acute respiratory infection transmission “may have occurred via contamination of provided respiratory protective equipment during storage and reuse of masks and respirators throughout the workday.”

This review carried out health workers in Japan found face mask use was likewise found to be not protective against the common cold, compared to controls without face masks among healthcare workers.

A study of 44 mask brands found mean 35.6% penetration (+ 34.7%).  Most medical masks had over 20% penetration, while “general masks and handkerchiefs had no protective function in terms of the aerosol filtration efficiency.”  The study found that “Medical masks, general masks, and handkerchiefs were found to provide little protection against respiratory aerosols.”

In another study published on the BMJ, penetration of cloth masks by particles was almost 97% and medical masks 44%.

Honeywell is a manufacturer of N95 respirators.  These are made with a 0.3 micron filter.  N95 respirators are so named, because 95% of particles having a diameter of 0.3 microns are filtered by the mask forward of the wearer, by use of an electrostatic mechanism. The coronavirus is approximately 0.125 microns in diameter. 

This meta-analysis found that N95 respirators did not provide superior protection to face masks against viral infections or influenza-like infections. (13) 

This study found that surgical masks offered no protection at all against influenza. Another study carried out in 2018 found that surgical masks had about 85% penetration ratio of inactivated influenza particles and about 90% of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, although S aureus particles were about 6 x the diameter of influenza particles.

A controlled study carried out in 1991 found that the use of masks in surgery were found to increase incidence of infection over not masking in a study of 3,088 surgeries. The surgeons’ masks were found to give no protective effect to the patients. 

This study found that “there is a lack of substantial evidence to support claims that face masks protect either patient or surgeon from infectious contamination.”

In another study, that observed subjects while coughing, “neither surgical nor cotton masks effectively filtered SARS-CoV-2 during coughs by infected patients.”  And more viral particles were found on the outside than on the inside of masks tested.

Cloth masks were found to have low efficiency for blocking particles of 0.3 microns and smaller.  Aerosol penetration through the various cloth masks examined in this study were between 74 and 90%.  Likewise, the filtration efficiency of fabric materials was 3% to 33%.

This study published on the BMJ in 2017 found that healthcare workers wearing cloth masks were found to have 13 times the risk of influenza-like illness than those wearing medical masks.

This 1920 analysis of cloth mask use during the 1918 pandemic examines the failure of masks to impede or stop flu transmission at that time, and concluded that the number of layers of fabric required to prevent pathogen penetration would have required a suffocating number of layers, and could not be used for that reason, as well as the problem of leakage vents around the edges of cloth masks.

The New England Journal of Medicine editorial on the topic of mask use versus Covid-19 assesses the matter as follows –

“We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection.  Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 20 minutes).  The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal.  In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.”

Researchers are concerned about possible burden of face masks during physical activity on pulmonary, circulatory and immune systems, due to oxygen reduction and air trapping reducing substantial carbon dioxide exchange.  As a result of hypercapnia, there may be cardiac overload, renal overload, and a shift to metabolic acidosis.

Various respiratory pathogens were found on the outer surface of used medical masks, which could result in self-contamination.  The risk was found to be higher with longer duration of mask use.

Surgical masks were also found to be a repository of bacterial contamination.  The source of the bacteria was determined to be the body surface of the surgeons, rather than the operating room environment. Given that surgeons are gowned from head to foot for surgery, this finding should be especially concerning for laypeople who wear masks.  Without the protective garb of surgeons, laypeople generally have even more exposed body surface to serve as a source for bacteria to collect on their masks.

This BMJ study found healthcare workers wearing cloth masks had significantly higher rates of influenza-like illness after four weeks of continuous on-the-job use, when compared to controls.

The increased rate of infection in mask-wearers may be due to a weakening of immune function during mask use.  Surgeons have been found to have lower oxygen saturation after surgeries even as short as 30 minutes.

As you can see the science actually shows face masks to serve as instruments of obstruction of normal breathing, rather than as effective barriers to pathogens. Therefore the UK Government is not being guided by the science, and if they are they need to be asking to see the qualifications of these scientists.

The Denial of Evil: The Case of Communism

If you don't hate Communism, you don't care about, much less love, people.

One of the most highly regarded books of the 20th century was Ernest Becker’s The Denial of Death. Winner of the 1974 Pulitzer Prize, the book is regarded as a classic for its analysis of how human beings deny their mortality.

But there is something people deny more than mortality: evil. Someone should write a book on the denial of evil; that would be much more important because while we cannot prevent death, we can prevent evil.

The most glaring example of the denial of evil is Communism, an ideology that, within a period of only 60 years, created modern totalitarianism and deprived of human rights, tortured, starved, and killed more people than any other ideology in history.

Why people ignore, or even deny, Communist evil is the subject of a previous column as well as a Prager University video, “Why Isn’t Communism as Hated as Nazism?” I will, therefore, not address that question here.

I will simply lay out the facts.

But before I do, I need to address another question: Why is it important that everyone know what Communism did?

Here are three reasons:

First, we have a moral obligation to the victims not to forget them. Just as Americans have a moral obligation to remember the victims of American slavery, we have the same obligation to the billion victims of communism, especially the 100 million who were murdered.

Second, the best way to prevent an evil from reoccurring is to confront it in all its horror. The fact that many people today, especially young people, believe Communism is a viable—even morally superior—option for modern societies proves they know nothing about Communism’s moral record. Therefore, they do not properly fear Communism—which means this evil could happen again.

And why could it happen again?

That brings us to reason number three. The leaders of Communist regimes and the vast number of people who helped those leaders torture, enslave and murder—plus the many more people who reported on their neighbors for saying something objectionable to the Communists—were nearly all normal people. Of course, some were psychopaths, but most were not. Which proves that any society—including free ones—can devolve into communism or some analogous evil.

Now some facts:

According to the authoritative Black Book of Communism, written by six French scholars and published in the United States by Harvard University Press, the numbers of people murdered—not people killed in combat; ordinary civilians trying to live their lives—by Communist regimes were:

Latin America: 150,000.

Vietnam: 1 million.

Eastern Europe: 1 million.

Ethiopia: 1.5 million.

North Korea: 2 million.

Cambodia: 2 million.

The Soviet Union: 20 million (many scholars believe the number was considerably higher).

China: 65 million.

These numbers are quite conservative. For example, in Ukraine alone, the Soviet regime and its Ukrainian Communist Party helpers starved 5 to 6 million to death within a two-year period. It is almost inconceivable that only 14 to 15 million other Soviet citizens were murdered.

And, of course, these numbers do not describe the suffering endured by hundreds of millions of people who were not murdered: the systematic stripping people of their right to speak freely, to worship, to start a business or even to travel without party permission; no non-Communist judiciary or media; the near-poverty of nearly all Communist countries; the imprisonment and torture of vast numbers of people; and, of course, the trauma suffered by the hundreds of millions of friends and relatives of the murdered and imprisoned.

These numbers don’t tell you about the many starving Ukrainians who ate the flesh of people, often children, sometimes including their own; or the Romanian Christians whose communist prison guards forced them to eat feces to compel them to renounce their faith; or the frozen millions in the vast Soviet Siberian prison camp system known as the Gulag Archipelago; or the Vietnamese Communists’ routine practice of burying peasants alive to terrorize people into supporting the Communists; or Mao Zedong’s regular use of torture to punish opponents and intimidate peasants, like leading men through the streets with rusty wires through their testicles and burning the vaginas of wives of opponents with flaming wicks—Mao’s techniques to terrorize peasants into supporting the Chinese Communist Party in its early days.

I return to the theme of the denial of evil.

People associate evil with darkness. But that is not accurate: It is easy to look into the dark; it is very hard to stare into bright light. One should therefore associate evil with extreme brightness, given that people rarely look at real evil. And those who do not confront real evil often make up evils (such as “systemic racism,” “toxic masculinity” and “heteronormativity” in 21st-century America) that are much easier to confront.

The Book of Psalms states, “Those of you who love God—you are to hate evil.”

In other words, you can’t love God if you don’t hate evil.

And if you don’t believe in God, here’s another way of putting it: “Those of you who love people—you are to hate evil.”

If you don’t hate Communism, you don’t care about, much less love, people.

Η Ιστορία μαρτυρεί ότι εμείς οι Έλληνες είμαστε από τα αρχαιότερα έθνη της Ευρώπης και θα έπρεπε ως εκ τούτου να έχουμε αυξηθεί δια μέσου των αιώνων και να είμαστε σήμερα ένα από τα πολυπληθέστερα έθνη της γης. 

Πώς λοιπόν συμβαίνει ώστε όλα τα έθνη, τα οποία μετά από χιλιετηρίδες ολόκληρες έκαναν την εμφάνισή τους στη σκηνή της παγκόσμιας ιστορίας ως ολιγάριθμες ορδές ασύντακτων και βαρβάρων, σήμερα να αριθμούν πληθυσμό 50, 80, 100, 130 εκατομμυρίων και να κατέχουν εκτεταμένες επιφάνειες της γης, ενώ το αρχαιότερο έθνος των Ελλήνων να αριθμεί πληθυσμό μόλις 8 εώς 9 εκατομμυρίων, όσοι υπολογίζεται ότι είναι οι εντός και οι εκτός της Ελλάδας κατοικούντες Έλληνες; 

Πού οφείλεται αυτό το ολιγάριθμο της Φυλής μας; Αυτή είναι η απορία, η οποία γεννάται όταν κανείς ρίξει το βλέμμα του στο παρελθόν και παρακολουθήσει την κίνηση των λαών.

Αλλά η Ιστορία, η οποία θέτει το πρόβλημα αυτό, δίνει και τη λύση. Αποδεικνύει με αδιάσειστα «ντοκουμέντα ότι, ενώ οι άλλοι λαοί από την πρώτη μέρα της ιστορικής τους εμφάνισης επιδόθηκαν σε ληστρικές επιδρομές και ως αγέλες λύκων διεσπάρησαν σε όλη την Ευρώπη και την Ασία για να «θύσουν καὶ ἀπολέσουν», η Ελλάδα έταξε άλλη αποστολή στον εαυτό της· όχι να αρπάξει, όχι να ληστεύσει και να εκμεταλλευτεί την ανθρωπότητα, αλλά να εκπολιτίσει, να την υπηρετήσει ποικιλοτρόπως, να γίνει ο διδάσκαλος και ο φρουρός του πολιτισμού. 

Για τα μεγάλα αυτά ιδανικά εργάστηκε το γένος των Ελλήνων και πρόσφερε τις εκατόμβες των μαρτύρων του. Ποιος θα μετρήσει τα ηρωικά του θύματα;

Όταν το κύμα της Ασιατικής βαρβαρότητας κατά τον 5ο π.Χ. αιώνα κατέκλυζε την Ευρώπη, μόνο η Ελλάδα ήταν εκείνη η οποία αντιστάθηκε στους βάρβαρους της Ασίας, αγωνίστηκε ηρωικώς και στο Μαραθώνα, τις Θερμοπύλες, τη Σαλαμίνα και τις Πλαταιές έπεσαν πολυάριθμα τέκνα της για να σωθεί η ελευθερία.

Και όταν ύστερα από 5 αιώνες, εν μέσω της απερίγραπτης ηθικής κατάπτωσης των λαών, παρουσιάστηκε η Θρησκεία του Ναζωραίου, η Ελλάδα από όλα τα άλλα έθνη ήταν η πρώτη η οποία ασπάστηκε το Σταυρό, τέθηκε στην υπηρεσία του χριστιανικού πολιτισμού και πρόσφερε τις υπηρεσίες της, υπηρεσίες πνεύματος και αίματος. 

Αναρίθμητοι είναι οι Χριστιανοί Έλληνες, οι οποίοι έπεσαν κατά τους πρώτους αιώνες των φρικτών διωγμών της νέας Θρησκείας. Και όταν έληξαν οι διωγμοί, η Ελλάδα πάλι ήταν εκείνη η οποία με το Μ. Κωνσταντίνο ήλθε και έστησε τη σημαία του Εσταυρωμένου στο Βυζάντιο και ίδρυσε τη Βυζαντινή αυτοκρατορία. 

Και η Βυζαντινή αυτή αυτοκρατορία ως προμαχώνας του Χριστιανισμού επί χίλια έτη αγωνίστηκε με απαράμιλλο ηρωισμό εναντίον αναρίθμητων στιφών βαρβάρων, οι οποίοι απ’ όλα τα σημεία του ορίζοντα εξορμούσαν για να εξοντώσουν το μοναδικό αυτό φρούριο της Χριστιανοσύνης. 

Και ενώ η Ρώμη υπέκυψε στους βαρβάρους το 467 μ.Χ., το Βυζάντιο χάρη στους ηρωισμούς των τέκνων του παρέμεινε ελεύθερο και ανεξάρτητο μέχρι το 1453, όταν μετά από χιλιετή αιμορραγία μυρίων κατά των βαρβάρων πολέμων, υπέκυψε στους Τούρκους. 

Μυριάδες τότε Ελλήνων εσφάγησαν κατά τη μεγάλη εκείνη πτώση της Βασιλίδος των πόλεων. Άλλες ακολούθως μυριάδες Ελλήνων εσφάγησαν ως πρόβατα κατά τη μακρά δουλεία των 4 αιώνων.

Αλλά, ω Ελλάδα, μαρτυρική μας Πατρίδα, ποιος θα μετρήσει τα θαύματα της νεότερης ιστορίας σου, η οποία άνοιξε με την ημερομηνία της 25ης Μάρτίου του 1821, όταν ακούστηκε το σύνθημα «Ελευθερία ή Θάνατος»; 

Από τότε μέχρι τον Οκτώβριο του 1944 η Ελλάδα προσέφερε 5 εκατομμύρια νεκρούς και τον ιστορικό μας καθηγητή Άμαντο, δηλαδή· 

1) Δύο περίπου εκατομμύρια Ελλήνων πέθαναν από τα δεινά του πολέμου του 1821 ή εσφάγησαν από τους Τούρκους στα διάφορα μέρη της Τουρκίας, διότι παντού έγιναν ομαδικές σφαγές Ελλήνων. 

2) Δύο άλλα εκατομμύρια Ελλήνων κατά τον πρώτο παγκόσμιο πόλεμο (1914 -18) και τη Μικρασιατική καταστροφή χάθηκαν εξ αφορμής των σφαγών και των διωγμών της Τουρκίας, και 

3) Άλλο ένα εκατομμύριο Ελλήνων κατά τον τελευταίο παγκόσμιο πόλεμο (1940 -44) απολέσθηκε μαρτυρικώς. Μόνο μέσα σε έναν αιώνα 5 εκατομμύρια νεκροί! Και ρωτάμε και περιμένουμε απάντηση· Ποιο άλλο έθνος στην Ευρώπη έχυσε τόσο αίμα, θυσίασε τόσους ανθρώπους για τον αγώνα της ελευθερίας;

Ιδού, λοιπόν, ο λόγος για τον οποίο η Ελλάδα δεν έχει να παρουσιάσει σήμερα πληθυσμό πολλών εκατομμυρίων. Εάν ήταν δυνατό να αναστηθούν για ένα εικοσιτετράωρο όλοι εκείνοι οι Έλληνες, οι οποίοι από αρχαιοτάτων χρόνων μέχρι των ημερών μας προσέφεραν τη ζωή τους ολοκαυτωμα για τα μεγάλα ιδανικά του ανθρώπου, τότε έκπληκτη η ανθρωπότητα θα έβλεπε να τετραπλασιάζεται και να πενταπλασιάζεται η φυλή των Ελλήνων και όλοι αυτοί οι νεκροί, οι οποίοι θα ζωντάνευαν, θα σάλπιζαν στα πέρατα του κόσμου, ιδιαιτέρως δε στη διάσκεψη της ειρήνης() των Ηνωμένων Εθνών· Αποδώστε δικαιοσύνη στη μαρτυρική Ελλάδα.

Εάν η αξία ενός έθνους δε μετριέται από τη γεωγραφική του έκταση ούτε από τα υλικά αγαθά, τα οποία κατέχει, ούτε από τους στρατούς, τους οποίους παρατάσσει, αλλά κυρίως από τις υπηρεσίες και τις θυσίες, τις οποίες προσέφερε στο σύνολο της ανθρωπότητας, τότε η Ελλάδα ανήκει στα έθνη τα μεγάλα, και η αξία της είναι άπειρη.

Νά φτιάξουμε «Φροντιστήρια Ἑλληνισμοῦ»

Ὅ,τι καί νά γράφουμε τόπο δέν πιάνει. Γι’ αὐτό καλύτερα νά στραφοῦμε στίς πατραγαθίες καί δή στό «ἅγιο βῆμα» τῆς ἱστορίας μας, τήν Ἁγιασμένη Ἐπανάσταση τοῦ ’21. Ἀπό ἐκεῖ πρέπει νά πιάσουμε τό νῆμα… Παρηγορία καί θάρρος. Μοσχοβολοῦν τά καριοφίλια καί τά πετραχήλια. Νά ἀρχίσει νά βροντολαλεῖ καί πάλι στήν καρδιά τοῦ Ἑλληνισμοῦ τό μπαρούτι τοῦ Εἰκοσιένα, τώρα πού πολλά «θερία πολεμοῦν νά μᾶς φᾶνε»… 

Ὅταν ἔφτασε στήν γυναίκα τοῦ Μάρκου Μπότσαρη, τό πικρό μαντάτο γιά τόν ἡρωικό θάνατο τοῦ ἄνδρα της, ἔτυχε νά χτενίζει τόν γιό της, τόν Δημήτριο, ἀγόρι ἕντεκα ἐτῶν. Ἄρχισε νά μοιρολογεῖ. Ὁ μικρός Σουλιώτης δέν τήν ἄφηνε νά κλαίει. Ὁ πατέρας, τῆς ἔλεγε, σκοτώθηκε γιά τήν πατρίδα καί ἡ ψυχή του θά πάει στόν παράδεισο. Μήν κλαῖς! Νά μήν φορέσεις μαῦρα καί νά μέ ἀφήσεις νά πάω... στόν θεῖο μου, (τόν Νότη Μπότσαρη), νά πολεμήσω μαζί του. Νά μοῦ δώσεις ἅρματα καί ἄλογο, μπορῶ νά τά κρατῶ. Θέλω νά πάρω ἐκδίκηση γιά τό αἷμα τοῦ πατέρα μου… 

Ὅσοι ἀγαποῦν τήν πατρίδα μας, αὐτό τό «πέτρινο ἀκρωτήρι στή Μεσόγειο, πού δέν ἔχει ἄλλο ἀγαθό παρά τούς ἀγῶνες τοῦ λαοῦ της, τήν θάλασσα καί τό φῶς τοῦ ἥλιου» (Σεφέρης), θλίβονται καί πικραίνονται γιά τό τωρινό κατάντημά της. 

Τά συμπτώματα τῆς παρακμῆς εἶναι ἐμφανέστατα. Κράτος – ζήτουλας τῆς οἰκουμένης, τετρομαγμένο καί δανειοσυντήρητο. Πολίτες, ἕνας ὁλόκληρος λαός, πανικοβλημένοι, ἀπογοητευμένοι καί, τό χειρότερο, πού δέν σέβονται, δέν συμπονοῦν, δέν ἀγαποῦν τήν πατρίδα τους. Σεργιανίζουν οἱ Τοῦρκοι στό Αἰγαῖο, μαγαρίζουν τά αἵματα τοῦ Κανάρη καί ἀπαντᾶμε μέ ἀπειλῆ κυρώσεων, πού θά λάβουν οἱ Εὐρωπαῖοι, τούς ὁποίους γονυπετῶς ἐκλιπαροῦμε. Καί δέν τό κάνουν, γιατί ξέρουν ὄτι μᾶς κυβερνοῦν προσκυνημένοι. Καί ὁ πολύς λαός, τό ἀσκέρι, ξεφυσᾶ μέ ἀνακούφιση. Πήραμε παράταση. Τά πάρτι στήν Μύκονο, στήν παραλιακή τῶν Ἀθηνῶν, θά συνεχιστοῦν. Τό ξεφάντωμα δέν θά ἀναβληθεῖ… 

Ταυτίζουν οἱ μελλοθάνατοι γλεντοκόποι τήν πατρίδα, μέ τό κράτος τῆς μίζας, τῆς ἀναξιοκρατίας, τοῦ σαλταδορισμοῦ, τῆς τεμπελιᾶς, τῆς ἀργομισθίας. Εἶναι τέτοιο σίγουρα, φρόντισαν γι’ αὐτό οἱ ἀνθυπομετριότητες πού τό κυβέρνησαν καί τό κυβερνοῦν, πού ἀντί νά ἀναδείξουν καί νά καλλιεργήσουν τά προτερήματα τοῦ λαοῦ, ξέβρασαν τά ἐλαττώματά του. 

Ὅμως ἄλλο εἶναι ἡ πατρίδα μας. Εἶναι ὁ τόπος τῶν πατέρων μας, εἴμαστε γραμμένοι στά μητρῶα της, τῆς ἀνήκουμε, δέν μᾶς ἀνήκει. Εἴμαστε παιδιά της καί κανένα παιδί δέν ἀπαρνιέται τήν μάνα του, γιατί ἔτυχε νά πέσει, (οἱ γέροντες γονεῖς πέφτουν, ἀλλά δέν ξεπέφτουν), νά χάσει τά πλούτη της, τά φτερά τῆς τά πρωτινά, τά μεγάλα. 

Ὁ γιός τοῦ ἀθάνατου Μάρκου Μπότσαρη, ὁ Δημήτριος, δέν κλαίει, δέν ὀδύρεται. Ὄχι. Γυρεύει ἅρματα γιά «γδικιωμό», νά πάρει τό αἷμα τοῦ πατέρα του πίσω. Καμαρώνει πού σκοτώθηκε ὁ πατέρας του γιά τήν πατρίδα καί παρηγοριέται πού θά πάει στόν παράδεισο. Ὁμολογία πίστεως καί φιλοπατρία ἀταλάντευτη. Ποιός τοῦ τά ἔμαθε; Γονιοί καί δάσκαλοι τοῦ δίδαξαν παιδεία… σουλιώτικη. Γράμματα ἀντίστασης, γράμματα ἐλευθερίας. 

Σέ ἕναν ὡραῖο, παλιό τόμο μέ τίτλο «Μνήμη Σουλίου», ἔργο τοῦ 1971, περιέχεται μία ὁμιλία τοῦ Γ. Ἀθανασιάδη, τό 1957, ἀφιερωμένη στόν ἀγέρωχο πολέμαρχο τοῦ Σουλίου, Νότη Μπότσαρη, τόν ἀρχηγό τῆς Φρουρᾶς τοῦ Μεσολογγίου. Διαβάζω στόν ἐπίλογο τοῦ κειμένου: 

«Ἡ προβολή ἐνώπιον τῶν νεωτέρων γενεῶν τοῦ Ἔθνους ἱστορικῶν προσωπικοτήτων τῆς ὁλκῆς τοῦ Νότη Μπότσαρη ἀποτελεῖ τό καλύτερο δίδαγμα γιά τήν διάπλαση τοῦ χαρακτῆρος των». (σελ. 197). Σωστά. Μέ τούς Μποτσαραίους διαπλάθεις χαρακτήρα καί ὄχι μέ τήν «Σόνια» τήν γάτα πού ἀποτελεῖ πρότυπο ἠρωϊσμοῦ στά βιβλία Γλώσσας τοῦ Δημοτικοῦ. (Β΄ τεῦχος, Γλώσσα Στ΄ Δημοτικοῦ, σελ. 62). Ἡ Παιδεία μας εἶναι βαριά καί θέλει γερά χέρια γιά νά τήν κρατήσεις. Αὐτό δέν τό καταλαβαίνουν. Μέ τίς γάτες καί μέ κείμενα πού ὑμνοῦν τήν ἠττοπάθεια, δέν μορφώνεις «γερούς» Ἕλληνες, ἀλλά γερασμένους καλοπερασάκηδες. 

Δύο μόνο ἐπεισόδια θά ἀναφέρουμε ἀπό τήν ζωή τοῦ ἔνδοξου καπετάνιου. Τόν Ἀπρίλιο τοῦ 1804 στό Μοναστήρι τοῦ Σέλτσου, ἔγινε ὁ ξακουσμένος «χαλασμός τῶν Μποτσαραίων». Σκοτώθηκαν πολλοί, μεταξύ αὐτῶν καί ἡ περίφημη κόρη τοῦ Νότη, Λένω (Ἑλένη) Μπότσαρη. Διαβάζω: «Ὁ Νότης κείτεται στό πεδίο τῆς μάχης, διάτρητος ἀπό τίς πληγές πνιγμένος στό αἷμα κατάμαυρος ἀπό τό μπαρούτι. Ἑφτά πληγές εἶχε καί τήν σοβαρότερη στό δεξί μάτι. Τήν ὥρα ἐκείνη ἡ κόρη του ἡ Λένω, λεβεντοκόριτσο 22 χρονῶν, λυγερή, ξανθή, ἦρθε μετά τόν ἡρωικό θάνατο τοῦ θείου της Νίκηζα, μέ τόν ὁποῖο συμπολεμοῦσε, καί βρῆκε τόν πατέρα της μισοπεθαμένο. Μέ τό ματωμένο γιαταγάνι στό χέρι, ἔσκυψε καί τόν ρώτησε: 

-Τί νά κάνω πατέρα; 

Παιδί μου ἦρθε ἡ ὥρα σου. Σκοτώσου! Τῆς ἀποκρίθηκε ψιθυριστά». Χίμηξε ἡ Λένω μέ τό γιαταγάνι, ἀναμέρισε τούς ἐχθρούς καί πνίγηκε στόν Ἀχελῶο, γιά νά μήν τήν μαγαρίσουν, κατά τό “λαμπρό” τους συνήθειο, οἱ ἀντίχριστοι Μωχαμετάνοι. 

Παρελαύνουν οἱ ὑπουργοί στό «Παιδείας». Ἔρχονται καί παρέρχονται. Καί τό μόνο πού ἀπομένει εἶναι ἡ σκιά τους, τό σκοτάδι πού παραλαμβάνουν, τό παραδίδουν στόν διάδοχό τους. Ὁ ἕνας χειρότερος ἀπό τόν ἄλλο. Ἄν εἶχαν φρόνιμα ἑλληνικό θά καθιέρωναν τά «σουλιώτικα γράμματα». 

Σουλιώτικα γράμματα εἶναι νά ἐπαναφέρεις στούς τοίχους τῶν σχολείων τά κάδρα τῶν ἡρώων τοῦ Εἰκοσιένα, τώρα πού θά γιορτάσουμε τά 200 χρόνια ἀπό τήν Παλιγγενεσία. 

Σουλιώτικη παιδεία εἶναι νά ἑτοιμάσεις Ἀνθολόγιο γιά τό δημοτικό σχολεῖο, ὅπου θά περιέχονται λόγια καί ἐπεισόδια τῶν ἀγωνιστῶν, σάν αὐτά πού προανέφερα. 

Σουλιώτικα γράμματα εἶναι νά διδάξεις στά παιδιά τήν κολοκοτρωναίικη ἐθνική διδαχή: «Ὅταν ἐπιάσαμε τά ἅρματα εἴπαμε πρῶτα ὑπέρ Πίστεως καί ἔπειτα ὑπέρ Πατρίδος». 

Καί ἐφόσον τό κράτος εἶναι αἰχμάλωτο καί βασιλεύει τό «ψευτορωμαίικο», παιδεία γιά Ἑλληνόπουλα πού θά σκέφτονται καί θά πράττουν ὅπως ὁ γιός τοῦ Μάρκου Μπότσαρη ἤ τοῦ Μιχαήλ Μελᾶ καί τοῦ Πιερῆ Αὐξεντίου, κατορθώνεις, ἄν ἱδρύσεις «Φροντιστήρια Ἑλληνισμοῦ», ὅπου θά διδάσκονται τά τιμαλφῆ τῆς Γλώσσας, τῆς Ἱστορίας καί τῆς Ὀρθοδοξίας. Γιά παιδιά Δημοτικοῦ, μέ δασκάλους πού δέν «παρουσιάζουν συμπτώματα» ἀφιλοπατρίας καί ἐκκλησιομαχίας, ἀλλά εἶναι ὑγιεῖς, μέ «ψυχή καί Χριστό». Δίπλα στά φροντιστήρια ἀγγλικῶν καί γερμανικῶν, νά ἀνοίξουν καί τά, ἐπαναλαμβάνω, «Φροντιστήρια Ἑλληνισμοῦ». Διότι, μᾶς κανοναρχεῖ ὁ Ρήγας, «ἐκ τῶν γραμμάτων γεννᾶται ἡ προκοπή μέ τήν ὁποία λάμπουν τά ἐλεύθερα ἔθνη». Ἀλλά ποιῶν γραμμάτων; Τοῦ Σουλίου, τῆς Μάνης, τῶν Σφακίων, τῆς Πίνδου, τοῦ Μαχαιρᾶ καί τοῦ Ἄθω…

Why Google's Search Page Redesign Is the Death of SEO

It's clear they only care about maximizing clicks to paid advertisers.

I have been a digital marketer for more than 20 years, which seems like an eternity at this point. Google has always been a staple of any good digital marketing strategy, especially for search engine optimization (SEO), to attract free organic traffic based on the quality of the content on your page. But, when we recently started to see our SEO traffic start to decline, we asked our SEO consultant to investigate the root cause. He said it was due to a recent Google Search page redesign, moving the free organic links to the bottom of the search results page. Even more troubling was his answer on how to fix the situation.

"Start spending more money advertising with Google to get back up to the top of the page,” he said. That's a very strange thing for an SEO expert to say because his services aren't needed in that scenario. This means SEO as a strategy for ecommerce-driven companies is dying, and paid search marketing has become your primary way to gain an audience through the search engines, at least through industry-leading Google. Allow me to further explain.

A quick history of Google Search

Ever since Google hit the scene in 1998, it has been a staple of any good digital marketing strategy. Originally, it was simply having a good SEO plan to help you go up the free organic rankings — ideally to the top of the first page of the search results. Search results were very straight forward and uncluttered and looked similar to the example below. Only free organic results appeared, based on the content of your page, and its relevancy to the keyword being searched. In the example below, I did a search for the word “technology.”

Then, in 2000, Google launched Google AdWords (now called Google Ads), which was a means to “buy” your way to the top of the search results with paid text ads. This meant you needed both a good SEO strategy for free organic traffic (for the links at the bottom of the first page) and a good keyword bidding strategy for paid traffic (for the links at the top of the first page), as seen in this example search result for the keyword “text.” 

Then, in 2002, Google launched Google Shopping, which gave ecommerce companies the opportunity to feed their product listings to Google on a pay-per-click model, adding a third dimension to their mix, but largely separated into its own “Shopping” tab on Google. At the time, it didn’t really impact traditional search results at all. And finally, in 2004, Google launched Google Local, which allowed businesses with multiple retail locations the ability to advertise and promote their various locations, in addition to the corporate parent company. This change simply localized the advertising to the location of the user. Instead of seeing a national ad, they saw an ad for a nearby local business. Again, it really didn’t materially impact the page design. 

Google today

But, in the last several months, Google has materially changed its page design for Google Search. Previous “sacred ground” rules like “stay true to our organic search roots, and don’t clutter the page with a bunch of advertising” got completely flushed down the toilet, as you can see in this example of a keyword search result for “restaurant furniture.”

Notice what has happened to the page design. Today, there are no free organic search results anywhere to be seen on the first page above the fold (where the computer screen breaks the page). Every single link on the top of the page is now a paid advertisement. The links in the upper left are coming from Google Ads, the links in the lower-left map are coming from Google Local and the links on the right coming from the Google Shopping product feed. Every single one is a paid placement, which is great for Google maximizing their ad revenues. But, if you want to see an organic search result that is truly based on the quality of the content of the landing page, you need to scroll down “below the fold,” and even then, they don’t start until the bottom of that second screen view after you page down.

The death of SEO

So, what does this all mean for commerce companies selling products or services? It means search engine optimization as a strategy is on life support and near death. Most Google users focus on the first page of results. If there is no way to get your organic search result in that position based on the current Google page design, then why focus on SEO at all? Your focus needs to be on shelling out a lot of money to Google to make sure your business is promoted in Google Ads, Google Local and Google Shopping placements on the page. This is exactly what Google wants — their cash register to ring with each click on their site.

Now that paints a pretty extreme picture. Yes, you can still be doing traditional SEO for organic rankings, especially for sites other than Google, like Bing and Yahoo. Yes, there are still a few Google users who will scroll down the first page, and an even smaller amount of users that will click beyond the first page, to page two or three. But, the amount of SEO traffic you will receive from free organic SEO efforts has become materially less than you would have received prior to the Google page redesign, especially given its dominant market share position in the search industry. 

Also worth adding, Google is using its new page design on its largest trafficked search terms (e.g., “restaurant furniture”). There may still be SEO value by focusing on long-tail search terms where Google uses a more traditional search result page design, like the example below for “30 x 30 tabletop."

However, I think it's only a matter of time before Google figures out how to take over advertising on every single one of their page results, including the long-tail keywords. Even in the above example, Google Shopping has five paid links at the top of the page, Google AdWords has one paid link in the middle of the page and there are only two free organic results at the bottom of the first page.

Concluding thoughts

As you are trying to figure out how best to spend your limited marketing dollars, the 20-year staple of optimizing your website for free organic traffic has become a much less effective use of your time and efforts. It just doesn’t bring the same bang for the buck that it used to, which means it is much harder to drive an ROI. Whether or not this helps or hurts Google in the long term will be determined in the future. But, you can bet Google’s competitors, like Duck Duck Go, are going to try to win over internet searchers with their largely free organic search results (which you can see this below example for “restaurant furniture”) promoted as protecting your privacy from the evil Google advertising empire. 

Let’s see if Google’s attempt to fleece all of its advertisers for even more money and clutter up its user experience will open up a door for one of their competitors to start growing share in the search industry. But, until then, the grim reaper is sharpening his blade for the SEO industry. R.I.P. my dear friend.
